🐸 Research Area 

My work primarily focuses on mitigating online harm. I am highly interested in

• Developing methods and interventions to detect harmful content and to reduce its visibility

• Examining how social media algorithms systematically recommend harmful or politically biased content to users

• Understanding how users engage with harmful content online, and how this is linked to algorithmic recommendations

• Exploring the conditions under which democratic and civil conversations can be achieved, especially in political comment sections. 

👩🏻‍💻 Methodologies

As a computational social scientist, I use NLP, network analysis, ML classifiers, and LLMs to analyze mostly digital trace data. With this background, I present and publish in interdisciplinary venues such as ACL and ICWSM, but communication is my core domain.
