I am a third-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Davis.
My advisor is Dr. Magdalena Wojcieszak, and we are working at the Computational Communication (C^2) Lab of UC Davis and the Red Giant Team of the U of Warsaw.
My work primarily focuses on mitigating online harm. I am highly interested in
Developing methods and interventions to detect harmful content and to reduce its visibility
Examining how social media algorithms systematically recommend harmful or politically biased content to users
Understanding how users engage with harmful content online, and how this is linked to algorithmic recommendations
Exploring the conditions under which democratic and civil conversations can be achieved, especially in political comment sections.

As a computational social scientist, I use NLP, network analysis, ML classifiers, and LLMs to analyze mostly digital trace data. With this background, I present and publish in interdisciplinary venues such as ACL and ICWSM, but communication is my core domain.
